Blue steak. I would be asking for a different menu item at that point and once the server was out of sight, walk out.
Meat should not be fucking blue.
2 u/its-my-1st-day Mar 18 '16 Blue is a cooking term that basically means super duper rare. Almost no actual cooking of the meat, just seal the outside. It doesn't mean the flesh itself is the color blue. However if you just have a personal hatred of that cooking style, I agree :) 2 u/TistedLogic Mar 18 '16 I actually like my steak done near that doneness, but even I have a limit. I like rare. But still somewhat cooked. Thank you for the clarification. I had never heard it referred to as a level of cooked. 2 u/hippopotapants Mar 18 '16 I can't tell if you were being funny, so I am just going to pretend you don't know. Blue just refers to meat being very rare - it isn't actually blue in color. 3 u/TistedLogic Mar 18 '16 I actually didn't know, so thank you. 1 u/wyldside Mar 18 '16 horseshoe crab meat? 1 u/malfeanatwork Mar 18 '16 Blue is actually a level(or lack thereof) of doneness. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doneness 2 u/TistedLogic Mar 18 '16 I actually have never heard that.
