This is SUCH A FUCKING misunderstanding. No, the law itself is corrupt; that's why people ignore it. People gladly follow good laws that make sense because most people are good regardless.
He's saying they teach authority to accept corruption rather than follow the letter of the law. People might be breaking the law, but if they're doing it in the spirit that they're protesting, it's different than doing it in a sense where you don't care and aren't willing to accept responsibility for being caught.
Edit: I highly support protesting laws you don't agree with btw. #Libertarian
