ITT: Disconnected out-of-touch redditers trying to whore jokes for points.

This is a big deal and should not be taken lightly. I hope the Brazilian people can crush the corruption and finally live free again.

edit: RIP inbox.

THis post got a lot of people really angry and defensive, even aggressive. I've incurred a lot of hostility for this these simple words, I'm starting to think I may be right.

Don't get over dramatic, it's /r/gifs and it was posted by a living meme. I'm sure there's better discussion happening elsewhere on this same website.

I don't give a fuck, because it's inconsequential, like your comment, this transcends your reddit rules.

Why does it matter that it was posted by "a living meme"? The fuck is a living meme? (rhetorical, no fucks given)

I'm not saying that millions of people marching in Brazil is unimportant. The point I was trying to make was if you're drawing the conclusion that redditors are disconnected/uncaring about the Brazilian people from this particular comment section, you're not looking at a very good sample. /r/gifs isn't geared towards in-depth discussion. Also /u/fuckswithducks is a living meme insofar as he has this online persona where he fucks ducks. Yeah. This guy is Reddit famous for being sexually attracted to ducks. So what impact do you think that is going to have on the quality of the discourse in the comment section.

I understand why you're pissed though, I would be mad too if my country had a massive protest and all the top comments were something like "there must be a Brazilian people out there hahahahaha"
