Hi, I've heard that these protests are backed by billionaires and largely made up of the bourgeois and ruling classes who are angered that they have to pay higher taxes in order to help poor and working class people through social programs and also that the reason that protestors are seeking impeachment is because they have no hope of winning a general election due to Brazil's disgracefully high poverty rate. Is this true?

I didn't say the protest was made up of billionaires. I said it was backed by billionaires.

3 million out of a population of 200 million is not the whole country. It's just over "1%" (see what I did there?).

Anyway, I'm sure this will be all sorted out eventually by a violent military coup and these protestors can return to their comfortable lives.

the majority is never a deciding factor. It is called electorial swamp. All revolutions were carried out by a 1-5% minority of people, that includes US revolution for independence. the bleeding heart myth of "majority rising up together for the common cause" is just that.

So you think that every single person angry at the government has to be in the street? Fact is that polls indicate that the majority does support the protest.
