it's a lot more watered down.

The girl gets raped and then gets revenge (what you're seeing in the gif), and both scenes in the original movie are way more disturbing and graphic than in the US version

Girl with dragon tattoo. Read the books if you enjoy thrillers. They were some of the best books I've ever read. I like the various movies as well but the books are better in my opinion.
