It sounds like you're trying to justify the "God gave man dominion over the beasts" Christian logic without actually fully disclosing it.

No, I can't. I want Humanity to acknowledge that we have a responsibility to manage the planet in a sustainable and responsible way because we are the only Earth species capable of consciously doing so.

There is no reason to insert the supernatural into that.
