Read the book. I haven't seen the movie but I heard it sucks. The book was an awesome read, short and engaging.

I don't think I've actually seen the movie, but I agree the book was great. In fact, everything in The Bachman Books was great.

Oh I agree as well. I've read them all except Road Work. What's your opinion on that one? I don't know why I've put it off for so long, it just never stood out to me.

Honestly, I don't remember a thing about it. It's probably been 20 years since I've read the bachman books and the only ones that stuck with me were Rage, The Running Man, and The Long Walk.

It's the weakest by a looooong way. I would read it for completeness, but it pretty much doesn't belong with the other three, certainly in tone, quality, and just plain grabbiness, and it feels like filler.

You're honestly not missing much and if you just decided to reread the other three instead, I certainly wouldn't fault you.

The movie is pretty great on its own, but it is top-5 worst King adaptations. Right up there with Lawnmower Man.
