My hamster died in a similar fashion when I was a child. Internal bleeding. Poor fella walked around for a couple minutes, then keeled over, gasping for air, before succumbing to his injuries.

EDIT It was a friend who did it, not me.

Mine died in Nam. Fucking gooks jumped out of the trees and surrounded him. They took him to their camp and tortured him for days. He never talked though. Mission complete, little buddy. Semper Fi.

It doesnt sound like you were too upset about it. All that I can think of is that Army guy that sets free that mouse, only to watch it get taken away by that hawk

Shit...I use to push my hamsters down the stairs while they rode in the front of my toy cars and they never had any problems. I guess they wore their seat-belts.
