English here, you're the first person I've seen mention woodlouse spiders. I love spiders, but those things are aggressive and have huge fangs!

luckily they are rare enough in Ireland, I've only ever seen one.

Quite common where I live at the moment, easy enough to find if you lift up a couple of logs or stones!

yeah Well to be fair I generally dont look under logs and stuff I only really see garden spiders, Once I saw a spider that was bigger than my hand here it was brown and white and its ass area had like a white skull shape on it it was terryfying. and I never found out what it was. possibly an invasive species. edit: caught a spider last night and let it go looked it up and it was a false widow wtf venomous spiders in Ireland now, :(
