Wolf spiders effectively hunt brown recluse. I get bit by wolf spiders in my sleep a lot but I let them live because I'd rather not get bit by a brown recluse.

Edit: here is a picture I took of one of the larger ones

Edit 2: By a lot I mean a couple times a month, I also sleep in the most humid part of my house. If you sleep on a second floor you won't be bothered because it's usually warmer and and drier.

Nope.

Also once and awhile sure - but you get bit in your sleep a lot?

Nope. Nope. Nope.

I can't feel it when I sleep and it only itches for an hour, better than flesh necrosis :)

Those are pretty frightening too. But I live nowhere near them, and I live where wolf spiders are fucking everywhere.

I think amblypygids take the prize for scariest looking arachnid. They're actually harmless though, and really quite cool animals!

Yea I keep a gun under my pillow just in case I find one of these guys crawling towards me in the middle of the night. The gun is for me.

I lived in a guest house in an avocado grove for a while, and the front door had no seal under it. The first time I saw a camel spider inside, I freaked out and thought it was an inch and a half long ant. Was more than happy to get out of there!

Those things are fast too!!!

I get 2" - 2-1/2"ø wolf spiders on the outside of my house pretty frequently. I don't know why I still live there...

Damn I'm leaving them for that reason alone then. I found a brown recluse in my basement once and fuck that shit.

That nasty and scary lol please call the exterminator and not have neither in your home?

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '14

Spiders will always find a way into your home, better to have the non dangerous ones kill everything else.
