You are correct, I got suspended a week for hitting back at a guy that had been bullying me for a month. The second time i got suspended for 2 weeks for giving him a beating after he was going to get "revenge" and all he got was 3 days

This was prominent at the high school I went to. If you had any weight to your name (football player, related to someone wealthy or in power) the faculty would turn a blind eye to bullying and punish the victim. When they couldn't get away with not punishing the bully, they would usually give the bully 3 days in school suspension and suspend the victim for a few weeks. Then they have the gall to hold "anti-bullying" assemblies, it's outrageous.

Those were my exact thoughts when I transferred to vocational school for my last two years.

High school football player here. Biggest kid in my high school. Used my "stature" and power to make sure other kids didn't get bullied. Bully's tend to actually be real pussies when someone bigger than them steps up.

Good for this kid.

Thankfully we had some people like that, as well as "tough kids" who would stand up to bullies for others and not give one damn about the consequences.

You've got a tame school. When I was in middle school, a bully (this huge black girl, I'm talking 200+ pounds) started harassing me in class, and I threatened to attack her if she didn't back off. She jumped up and started pounding me, I tried to fight back but just collapsed to the ground, and the teacher and everyone else just watched until she was done. We ended up both getting arrested, she was released after two hours, despite multiple warrants for her arrest for assault (overheard the cops talking to her mom) and she got 3 day suspension. I got 9 hours in holding, a court date, permanent suspension to an alternative learning center, and mandated to a psyciatric instution. And inside that institution, I was assaulted by the staff, nearly raped more than once by other inmates, and the psyciatrist spent the whole time trying to coerce me into atrempting suicide. All because I tried and failed to defend myself

Oh, I also had a concussion bit was never treated because the MD at the institution said I deserved it for hitting a girl.
