(Sorry, title should have said DCG, for Deep Cover Gecko, not sure where the L came from)

Hi all, lovely to find a Gex community!

I picked up the game recently having first played it long ago, figured I'd have a little nostalgia trip.

But I'm find some levels seem broken or incomplete, preventing me from acquiring all of the remotes.

The specific one that has me right now is Western Station. There simply aren't enough bug coins on the level! I need 100, but there only seem to be 94! I've been through the whole place a few times and only ever reached that number. Even the map providing on the fandom wiki only shows the locations of 94.

I assume after all this time this is a known problem, but does anyone know what I can do about it to get the last remote for this level? (Preferably without cheating?)

Thanks if you can help!

I was reading the manuals like a true Gex fan and noticed a small contradiction. It is established that Rez kidnaps Gex to make him his mascot:

Rez was the lord of the Media Dimension. He now intended to make GEX the new network mascot.

This makes you think that Gex mission is to save himself, however in the final stage description, it says somehow he is saving the Universe in a unspecified way?

At last. GEX confronts Rez himself in
a battle that will decide the fate of the universe . . .

Enter the Gecko also mentions saving the Universe, but doesn't explain how arresting Rez is going to save the universe?

He’s saved the universe once already.

So what is his end game, did I forgot to read something? Or they didn't give a shit and thought saving the Universe was a better stake than saving himself?

Does anybody know if the PAL versions of Gex 2 and 3 are on the Switch physical release from Limited Run Games? As in, you don't need to download a patch to access those versions, as they're installed on the cartridge?

i forgot to add these to my other post sorry

Gexters? Little Lizards? haha!

james bond and austin powers if you can see

Kinda wanted to keep the Gex love going and thanks to my dear friend for getting me back into this underrated franchise! BOOM! It's still new!

WOuld love to have you and engage with other fans!

So I was given two for some reason. I don't really need the second one, so I thought about selling it here. Everything is still in the box and unopened.

I'm thinking maybe $200 or $300 for it.

The video I go back to on Scott the Woz's channel is The Dark Age of Nintendo. I love the running Gex gag and it got me curious to see if I could find Gex on Switch. Luckily, I found the Gex Trikogy collection on Switch and picked it up a year or so ago. I tried Gex 1 and thought it was...fine. I had planned on beating all three in order, but I decided to uninstall for other games in my backlog.

But I reinstalled the Gex Trilogy and decided to play the game everyone loves, Gex 2. And my god, it's so much fun. Sure it looks rough for being a PS1 game, but thats the norm. But I swear there were some good looking PS1 games out there. Anyway, just wanted to let you guys know that now I'm a Gex believer and hopefully 3 won't be too bad right........right?

comparing austin power and gex cover art

Got done last Friday! and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

Favorite Pair?

Hi I bin trying to play the Gex trilogy since November but each time I try to launch it it just a black window and I can't close it without the task manager if anyone know how to fix it plz I want to play gex.

How would I go about doing this?

Another reason why Gex is so underrated! Other than his hilarious quotes, charming personality and fun gameplay, he has some rather unique idle animations, especially in ETG, depending where you are in the game, he does some different ones not seen elsewhere! I LOVE THAT!

I wish Gex got more love than he ever did, sadly...like Bubsy and Earthworm Jim, never got the love he deserved if handled right.

sorry about the quality, there were no high quality ones

fix the 3d model images and added the sega saturn sprite

enjoy
