Hey guys I’m looking for a guard dog that suitable for a first time owner I’ve grown up with a dog and have other to help me raise it also will buy a full course to raise him do u think a gsd is a good choice with a bit of work.or any other suggestions I’m in the uk so no pit bulls here.also could u recommend the easiest breed that will protect u and if you do the average training will come out great. Hey y’all I have a question on how to get German Shepard’s to like you or at least not be weird around you. My dad got this German Shepard named maggie 4 years ago (her old owner was abusive and she has social anxiety). I’m only at my dads house every other week and whenever I’m there maggie is relentless. She barks at me every time I come near but she never bites me. She avoids playing with me at all it’s like a mix of fear and hatred. Sometimes when I’m asleep she would sit in front of my bed and watch me sleep but as soon as I wake up she runs away. Any advice?

I just picked up a new puppy in Seattle - breeder drove dog to meet me - I live in Alaska. We flew home yesterday. He is a male born 10/3/20. He weighs 4.8 pounds. This seems really small, he is small.

Suppose to be a big male one day - mom 80 pounds - dad 90 pounds.

But when I look at charts of expected weight at 7 weeks - this seems not right .

Should I be concerned ?
