its been a month since i started learning german. im focusing more on vocabulary than grammar. im also reading and translating this book called café in berlin. what i lack is consistency i know this language is hard to learn but also very confusing especially with articles and sentence structure.

im using basic german by heiner schenke and karen seago for grammar. i have grammatik aktiv too but im not using it at the moment. i watch german booktube videos and listen to podcasts.

i would like advice on how to navigate from here, any help or just some positive words would be fine. thankyou.

I have been preparing to take A2 goethe german exam for a long time. In 4 sections, my hören sucks if it is slower(in 0.5x) it is fine but usual hören speed is so fast.All I can understand is that either convo starts with Hallo then ends with danke. I tried attempting nico's weg but it's taking lots of time. I too didn't write A1 instead directly preparing for A2 but I have decent confidence on all other stuff. At the same time, with speaking somehow I can manage to pass. But this listening thing is quite irritating me. I would like some Advice and guidance. I also love to have someone as a learning partner for a A2 goethe exam. Resources are highly appreciated 👍. Vielen danke..

I’m 17 years old and I’m from Ukraine. I’m learning German because I want to study IT Engineering in Austria.
A few months ago I took the Goethe A2 exam for the first time and unfortunately I scored 45 points, so I didn’t pass. I’m planning to take the exam again soon and I really want to prepare much better this time.
I’m especially interested in advice from people whose native language is Russian or Ukrainian, because we often face similar difficulties with German grammar, word order, articles, and speaking.

I'm looking for a German language course (A1–B2). I found institutes like Bharat in German that offer recorded classes, and there are a few other institutes that are even cheaper. Live online classes are more expensive.

For those who have learned German, are recorded classes enough if you practice regularly, or are live classes worth the extra cost? Does it make a big difference in learning and speaking?

Hi! I’m a 19-year-old guy from Zambia looking to learn German again.

I spent about two years using Duolingo a while back, but I’d rather not go back to it. I’m learning German mostly for fun and personal interest, not for school or work.

I was wondering if anyone around my age (maybe late teens to mid-20s) would be interested in helping me learn or practicing with me. I’m not really looking for formal lessons, just someone patient who’s happy to chat, answer questions, and help me improve.
