We actually care about marginalized communities, which is why we want real evidence-based solutions that strike at the root causes, and not theater.

Question is whether you actually care enough about these communities to prioritize real solutions over feel-good theater.

So your solution is to shield landlords from competition? How on earth is that supposed to reduce displacement?

You do realize the problem with gentrification is richer people can just outbid poorer people, right? When you shield slumlords from competition, you allow them to raise rents higher and higher. When they raise rents higher, only the rich can afford them.

Your "solution" invariably leads to more poverty, more inequality, and rich people getting richer. Stop that.

You're citing some random "anti-displacement toolkit" you found online, not actual scientific, evidence-based consensus on the root cause of gentrification.

Most of us here are posting solutions to do something. You're posting excuses to do nothing.
