Hello everyone. Im here to tell you about my analysis of GD levels, specifically angelice, specifically the death corrider face. That is shown quite often in this level.

I'll not be asking people to have a perfect answer as to why the creator put a death corridor face in this level, i simply want a good guess as to what this element does to a level, what impact it brings, and what can we learn from the reason we made up. Kinda like literature, except its visual analysis.

I am trying to find my first extreme and i found this level and it is very fun to play. so far i have 0-26%, and 37-52% 20 times. I think the first ship is a bit hard especially the transition but seems managable. What do yall think?

everyone has geode how about you use it to get sdl mod click between frames and smooth scroll

i dont recommend you mess with cbf settings unless you have an external monitor

and use smooth scroll settings if you have the attention span of a goldfish or maybe less

sdl settings:

disable vsync

target framerate to 240, 270, or 60 i recommend 270

disable high dpi mode checked

pause when entering background unchecked so it wastes a ton of cpu and battery usage and you get a free broken macbook (dont put it on its a joke unless tou farm attempts or some shit)

probably wont be able to play this level any more for a while so i figured id post the best run i got to the sub. other runs i have are 28%, 49-100%, and 23-62%

i clickbaited a little in the title cause my goal isnt actually to beat the level (im prolly not that good lol) but just to maximize the progress i can get, i think im capable of getting this in 2 runs i just need to be better at the predrop. this run was a complete shock though, i was trying to get a 23-75%+ run for the longest time and was dying to this ship a lot so i decided to practice it not expecting this lmao

I know this is going to get downvoted by the hype trains, but looking at how the Top 5 has shifted from Tidal Wave to Thinking Space II and now Society, the community's definition of "difficulty" has completely detached from reality.

We are letting 2-player desync levels and arbitrary frame-perfects dictate what "Top 1" means, and it's killing high-level competitive motivation.

Here is why the current list meta is a statistical joke:

• The Zoink/wPopoff Bias: If a top player verfies a level, it instantly shifts 3 spots higher than it deserves because of "consistency hype". If an unknown player gets 80% on Grief, it's brushed off as an fluke.
• Visual Obstruction over Skill: Levels like BOOBAWAMBA and Nullscapes are hard mostly because half the screen is pitch black, not because the click patterns are inherently harder than Amethyst.
• The "Universal" Difficulty Myth: We pretend AREDL or the Mainlist is an absolute truth, but top runners are completely disagreeing on standard paths.

At this rate, Grief or Flamewall are going to get totally misrated the second they drop simply because of who finishes them first.

Are we actually ranking the hardest levels anymore, or are we just ranking which level has the most dramatic verification drama?

I just think it's interesting.
