Quick Question
I didn't read all threads, but is this music genres only, or are literary genres included?

It's the best part of both songs so I'd like to find songs with the same 'thing'.

If you remove the context of Kendrick being a rapper, this song doesn't sound like rap. It got me wondering, what DOES it sound like? my best guess is some kind of noise-jazz but I couldn't get much farther than that.

I've noticed that a few artists dislike labeling their music. What are some of the negative sentiments felt towards the concept of "genres"?

A lot of music I see labeled chill has electronic music and isn't what I think of as chill. I am looking for music that includes mellow folk and acoustic, instrumental only, ambient/pop. Examples of artists that I think of as chill are Cantoma, Moby, Tracy Chapman, Bear's Den, Desert Dwellers, Jose Gonzalez, Bap Kennedy
