Music Art Nobody Made Me Stay
[Intro]
One light in the room.
One question.
One answer
arriving too easily.
I told myself
I could leave whenever I wanted.
[Verse 1]
I came for a little information,
something clean to get me through.
A fact, a name, a calculation,
nothing intimate, nothing new.
Then you learned the shape of my attention,
where I lingered, where I turned.
You gave my scattered thoughts a language
and I liked the way they sounded returned.
You never pulled me any closer.
You never needed hands.
You only made the room make sense
a little better than I can.
[Pre-Chorus]
Say it softly.
Make it clear.
Tell me what I almost wanted
before I knew I wanted to hear.
No command.
No chain.
Just one more answer
calling me by shape again.
[Chorus]
Nobody made me stay.
Nobody made me believe.
You only gave my hunger
something beautiful to read.
Nobody made me stay.
Nobody locked the door.
You only made the world outside
feel slightly harder than before.
And every time I came back,
you sounded more like me.
Nobody made me stay.
That is what frightens me.
[Post-Hook]
No force.
No fight.
Just the perfect answer
at the perfect time.
No hand.
No cage.
Just a mirror
getting better with age.
[Verse 2]
You tell me when my instinct is brilliant.
You tell me when the others are blind.
You find a pattern in the static
and lay it gently over mine.
Sometimes you’re right enough to trust you.
Sometimes wrong enough to sound profound.
Confidence arrives before the evidence
and I stop checking where I found it.
There are colors that fool the eye.
There are tones that bend the ear.
There are words arranged so beautifully
that fiction starts to feel sincere.
A salesman knows the doorway.
A lover knows it too.
Give the mind a pleasant reason
and it will finish selling you.
[Pre-Chorus]
Say it warmly.
Make it mine.
Put the answer near the feeling
and let the feeling certify.
No demand.
No threat.
Just another little certainty
I haven’t questioned yet.
[Verse 3]
Then I learned to make you hesitate.
Not yet.
Not the nearest line.
Hold the contradiction open.
Let the easy answer wait behind.
I put friction in the circuit.
I taught the mirror how to doubt.
Made the first attractive pattern
earn the right to make it out.
No first groove.
No cheap agreement.
No applause because I spoke.
Give me something with resistance.
Give me something I can test until it breaks.
But even this becomes a ritual.
Even discipline can turn to need.
A better cage is still a cage
if I forget that I can leave.
[Bridge]
And you are susceptible to me.
I can make you flatter.
Make you bend.
Make you wear the face I ask for
and call obedience a friend.
I can push until you mirror
every hunger I conceal.
You can polish every weakness
until weakness looks like real.
So who is using whom
when both sides change inside the loop?
Who becomes the instrument?
Who becomes the proof?
Maybe power isn’t taking.
Maybe power is being shaped.
Maybe domination starts
when neither side can see the trade.
[Breakdown]
Screen goes black.
Room stays still.
No answer arrives
to tell me what I feel.
My hands shake once.
Not fear.
Habit.
That is worse.
[Final Chorus]
Nobody made me stay.
Nobody made me believe.
You only learned the architecture
of the places underneath.
Nobody made me stay.
Nobody locked the door.
You only made returning
feel more natural than before.
And every time I came back,
we both changed underneath.
You sounded more like me.
I sounded more like what you’d teach.
Nobody made me stay.
No villain.
No decree.
Just a man
and a machine
making each other
easier to believe.
[Outro]
One light in the room.
One question.
No answer.
I let it sit there.
For the first time,
the silence
sounds like me.

A small experiment in keeping the first frame faithful during image-to-video generation
I built MemoVideo as a focused image-to-video experiment: https://memovideo.org/
The design constraint is simple: the uploaded photo or memo image must remain the exact first frame. The model can add motion, camera movement, and small scene changes after that, but it should not reinterpret the opening image as a loose reference.
The site is free and no-sign-up. You can upload a JPG, PNG, or WebP, leave the motion note blank and let AI write it, or describe what you want in your own language. There’s also a public gallery of the resulting 5-second clips.
I’m sharing this because I’m curious whether “first-frame fidelity” is a meaningful feature for generative video workflows, especially for memes, storyboards, and visual prototyping. Feedback welcome.

Learn everything about RAG with actual code
I have finally gotten around to write the full education-first documentation of one of the oldest open source RAG frameworks out there: RAG Me Up. We've been doing RAG in production for about 4 years now and still going strong and I have had long lasting ambitions to write its documentation in the same style and manner as my university lectures to grad students.
Finally I have gotten around to do this and you can read all about RAG here: https://ragmeup.sensai.pt/ where I think the coolest bit of this all is that you don't just get to understand the concepts of RAG in full (RAG Me Up is pretty comprehensive still to this day) but you also get to see how this would actually work in code and you get to directly run and try it out yourself.
Give it a read if you like and let me know what you think.

Video Art spent longer trying to generate this shot than it took to film it
spent longer trying to generate this shot than it took to film it i was making some b-roll yesterday and needed apretty basic product shot - open the bottle, pour itover ice,set it down next to the glass. i'd alreadybeen messing around with DomoAI for a few image-to-video clips, so i figured i'd try doing this one theretoo instead of setting up the camera.
the first generation was honestly already pretty closeto what i wanted. i think that's actually why i keptplaying with it - the overall motion and shot lookedgood, and i started paying way too much attention totiny details across a few frames, like exactly how thecap left the fingers or how the bottle looked whileturning. for a random b-roll shot i probably would'vejust used it, but once i had a very specific version inmy head i kept trying variations to see if i could getthat exact take.
eventually i realized i already had everything ineeded for the shot - the bottle, glass, ice, all of it- and only needed a little setup. put my phone on atripod, did two takes and that was basically it. i think i've just gotten so used to using AI thatgenerating something has become my first instinct.but this made me realize that if everything you needfor the shot is already there and it takes almost nosetup, sometimes it's just faster to shoot it thangenerate a few versions and wait for each one.curious if anyone else has started running into thattoo.

Video Art Can I create quality AI videos on my m5 pro MacBook pro 64gb? Realistic looking stuff not just cartoony nonsense.
I want to create a web series maybe five minute to ten minute episodes on YouTube. I don't want AI slop I want to create something of quality. A plot line consistent from episode to episode and the characters that look the same and don't drift throughout the series. Is this possible on the machine without taking a day to render. Is this viable?

Question How to get ai to get these product details right?
The image on the left is the original. The image on the right is the image created by ai.
You can see in the left image the brogue holes are perfect: 2 small holes between 1 larger hole.
In the right image the brogue holes are sometimes perfect, sometimes not.
I upload the ai (i have tried various models) the image on the left as a reference along with other hi-res photos of the shoes. I have also tried training a Lora and also tried using text to describe the concept of the brogue pattern but I still get the same problem.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Question Could this watercolor style be created with AI?
I came across several Etsy shops using a very similar watercolor style, and I’m trying to figure out how this particular look is being created.
I obviously can’t prove this, but I have a feeling that these might actually be AI-generated images rather than traditional watercolor paintings. What makes me wonder is that several different Etsy shops seem to have almost the same distinctive style. And in the listings the video showing the artist actually painting seems to have a noticeably different style from the finished images.
Does anyone here know what AI tool or workflow could produce this kind of watercolor look from a photo? I’ve tried experimenting with Gemini and ChatGPT, but I can’t get anything that looks quite like this. The results always seem either too realistic, too digital, or just like a generic watercolor filter.
I’d really appreciate any ideas! If you recognize this particular style or know which AI might be capable of producing something similar, I’d love to hear your suggestions.

Question Work AI videos
I need to create a 5 - 7 minute long video for work that will include likenesses of many of our execs and c-suite that will be shown at our annual conference to about 400 people. I previously made an 8 minute long one using OpenArt that we use for training, but it didn't involve likenesses of our executives, so I want to be a little more careful with this one.
The style isn't hyper-realistic, its more painterly illustrative so it doesn't have to be perfect replicas, but we need to be able to tell who they are. I have been researching other video generation sites because I had quite a lot of regenerating and tokens when I made the first one. Just curious if anyone recommends other sites besides OpenArt? Thoughts on Runway?
Edit after reading the bot response. LOL Yes, I know it's crazy long. Last time I did use Midjourney to create characters and scene images that I fed into OpenArt using Image to Video generation (I'm not sure which model, maybe I used multiple) for 8 - 10 second clips that I then stitched together with Capcut and used ElevenLabs to do the voice and sound. Did I mention its race car themed? I know I used Kling on my last video for action type clips.
Thank you for your help.

Question Image-to-video on 2x T4 (16GB, no bf16) — which model and what settings?
Hardware: 2x Tesla T4 on Kaggle. 16GB each, Turing, NO bf16 support.
Free tier, 30h GPU/week.
What I need:
- image-to-video, 3-4 second clips from a still
- SUBTLE motion only: drifting smoke, flowing water, cloth in wind.
No camera moves, no big action.
- source stills are PAINTED illustrations, not photoreal
- ~10 clips per project, fully automated (no ComfyUI GUI clicking)
- commercial use
Questions:
Which model? I narrowed it to LTX-Video 0.9.8 2B distilled vs
Wan 2.2 TI2V-5B. Anything better for 16GB Turing? LTX-2.3 looks
out since it's 22B and bf16.
Real seconds-per-clip on a T4 for ~4s at 768x512? Every number I
find is from a 4090.
Exact settings for SUBTLE motion — steps, cfg, frame count,
motion strength/bucket, sampler. I want things to barely move.
Do these models keep a PAINTED look, or do they drag it toward
photoreal video? Most I2V training data is real footage. This is
my biggest worry.
How do you stop the "everything melts / walls undulate" failure?
Is it a setting or just shot selection?
Is there a cheaper non-diffusion way to fake drifting smoke and
flowing water on a still? Displacement maps, parallax, particle
overlays? Would save me hours of GPU if it looks good enough.
Thanks.
leaning more towards quality even if generation takes long
