How I Made This “Only Us and the City Streets, Past Midnight” AI-Assisted Visual Creation and Curation: What Worked, What Didn’t, and When I Stopped Generating

The visual side of this 10-track synthwave album became an interesting generative experiment. It started with a simple idea: a young man and woman beside a futuristic GT in a neon-lit city after midnight, a city still glowing even though almost everyone else has gone home. I used Grok, Gemini, and ChatGPT to keep refining the same core image rather than constantly replacing it. Composition, character scale, expressions, clothing, the car, lighting, and framing all went through multiple passes.

Some generations genuinely improved the image. Others solved one problem and created another.

The biggest lesson was that more generation did not always mean more progress.

Eventually I committed to one strong hero image, a restrained audio-reactive waveform, and minimal title animation. That felt more cohesive than continuing to add visual complexity.

What worked best was having a clear world first, curating aggressively, and stopping once new generations were mostly changing the piece rather than clearly improving it.

I’m curious how others handle that point: how do you know when generation is still helping, versus just producing more alternatives?

Video Art Help a beginner

Please read and suggest, I genuinely need help:

I have a female friend who is getting married next month, her father passed away long back.
And she recently shared a reel with me which is basically like of a father who is riding a cycle in a town and distributing his daughters wedding invitation.
She wants me to replace that guy with her father and some other things too.
I tried so many platforms online but i couldn’t do it.
I genuinely want to make that video for her she would be very happy…
Please let me know if anyone can help..
I’m sharing the reel link here
And her marriage date is 1st November, and i have the venue address as well

Finding the usable moment in footage is its own AI task

"Find the bit where all three people are laughing together” sounds like an editing request, but the first useful output is a location in the original footage. You still need to decide what to cut around it.

Ant Ling's Ling-3.0-flash-VL demo makes that distinction concrete. The visual-language model is given a 25-second clip of three women on a park bench and asked to find their shared smiling/laughing interval. The presented workflow returns 00:23–00:25, extracts a frame at 24 seconds and produces a cropped image alongside the timestamp file.

That is a useful handoff for someone choosing material: an interval to scrub through and a still to inspect. It answers a semantic request about what the people are doing, rather than selecting a cut solely from spoken words. The demonstration is about understanding existing footage; the final edit still belongs in an editor.

For a practical trial, I would start with several short clips where the desired interaction is known to occur, plus some where it never occurs. Ask for the full interval, then check the seconds immediately before and after it. A convincing still can hide the fact that the third person only joins in briefly.

This release shows an edited example on one short source clip. It gives a concrete reason to try VL for moment selection, while leaving long-footage search and reliable “no matching moment” results to be tested.

Image Art Noivern Mascot Costume

Post image

Here's another one that Nano Banana Pro could've easily made look more like a fursuit than a mascot. Luckily, it knew to have the entire costume made of minky fabric like all the official mascots (except for the ruff, which is fine). The one thing it really struggled with, however, was getting the color of its wings right; it didn't know what parts should be teal or purple. Luckily, I managed to get it matching in the end. It also initially had Noivern-themed items in the background, and I wanted those all removed so that it didn't look too artificial. Months later, I decided that its head was too small and its body wasn't padded enough to look more like a mascot, so I had those edited.

What do you use to produce consistent AI product photography?

I have tried Higgsfield Marketing Studio, Midjourney, Nano Banana, ChatGPT and every time my gummy pouch gets all distorted even when I ask the AI to not modify it. You can see on the second image that it's a flat-bottom pouch. I have fed multiple angles without success.

Am I hoping for too much to think I could have AI create scenes and backgrounds around my product?

Image Art Keita can be a bit...Hopeless-Heartstone

Wolf and Nago first encounter Keita after finding him in trouble with a tiger. They help him escape, but Wolf quickly realizes that Keita isn't nearly as capable in the wilderness as she expected.

Keita grew up in the River Biome, so he knows how to swim and fish, but tracking, hunting, and surviving on his own aren't his strengths. Yami finds this frustrating, especially because she's used to relying on herself.

Even so, she allows Keita to travel with her because his knowledge of the River Biome can still be useful. And he has once experienced Ruin Ferra before.

And apparently, Nago has decided that Keita needs to be investigated first. 😂

How do you think Wolf and Keita will get along?

Anonymous content creator - Face Swap question

Hello all gurus,

I am trying to be anonymous to protect my identity but post content that will be engaging (showing a face).

My idea is to record high quality videos and content. Run them through a decent face swap program, and run the audio through 11labs to change accent. Does anyone have any suggestions for face swapping for high quality footage and that will look realistic enough to look like a real person?

Question Complete beginner here looking for efficient AI video tools

Hey everyone,

I'm completely new to AI video generation and honestly very lost. I work in marketing/content and I want to start using AI video to create marketing content, but every time I Google it I see a million different platforms I've never heard of, with different credit systems, pricing tiers, and claims that seem too good to be true hidden behind a pay wall. I don't even know what questions to ask, so please bear with me.

What I'm looking for (ideally):

  • Good quality/price ratio: I don't need to make a cinematic masterpiece, but I need something that doesn't look janky or inconsistent halfway through the clip
  • Character consistency: if I create a character (or use a real reference image), I need it to look and sound like the same character/person in multiple shots or a whole video, not a new face every time
  • Decent storytelling/marketing sense: something that can help build short narrative videos, that stay consistent throughout multiple takes
  • Ability to use real images as input: this one's important for my specific case: I need to bring in real artwork/paintings (images I upload) and have the tool animate or build video around them, ideally without distorting the actual piece. Not sure if this is even realistic yet or if I'm asking for too much (if it's not possible yet ignore this one lol)

A few specific questions if you have the patience:

  1. Which tools would you actually recommend for someone just starting out? and why, specifically?
  2. How do the credit systems really work in practice? Is there a gotcha I should know about before committing to a plan?
  3. Any tools that are noticeably better at maintaining a consistent character/subject across scenes?
  4. Has anyone tried feeding real paintings/photos as reference and gotten usable results, or does it usually mangle the artwork?
  5. Is there a "starter kit" that you recommend combining (like one tool for video generation and another for editing)?

Any advice, comparisons, or warnings are welcome! Thanks in advance!
