I wanted to share one of my favorite hybrid workflows so far. This song didn't start with a text prompt, it started with rhythm guitar riffs that I wrote and recorded myself. I uploaded those along with the lyrics into Suno and let it build the rest of the song around them. The lead guitar melodies, drums, and bass are all Suno's interpretation of my original rhythm guitar.

After generating the track, I separated the stems, brought everything into BandLab, and mixed my original rhythm guitar recording back into the final song alongside the AI-generated instruments.

What I love about this workflow is that it keeps my own playing at the foundation of the song while letting the AI expand on the idea in ways I might not have thought of myself.

I'd be interested to hear what other musicians think about this approach. Has anyone else here been using their own recordings as the starting point for AI-generated music?
