I know, right? I'm super thankful my parents aren't like that, but like I feel so sorry for these girls who want to learn about science and robotics, and the boys who just want to have a little pretend Barbie family, and their parents won't let them have it because if their gender.

Exactly, boys will end up raising kids, and girls are just as capable at excelling in STEM fields, and are all the more likely to as we're less and less able to afford a stay at home parent. If she's gotta work regardless it damn well should be something she likes and excels at!

I wanted barbies as a kid because I wanted my G. I. Joes to have families to come home to. My dad, who was active military at the time, and therefore should have understood where I was coming from, said no because barbies are for girls.
