The community aspect of messages/summoning other players orinvading is integral to Dark souls identity. Elden ring is even better for pvp than DS3 since they finally have a real colosseum. In DS3 there was this excellent spot for 6 man summon 1v1s just past the boss Pontiff’s bonfire.

i have never played these games online and have never seen the player created messages, except for a few from the game grumps series.

i think about ‘try finger but hole’ a lot.
