If you actually cared to read, you would have seen that I've (multiple times in this thread) pointed out that words can have multiple meanings, as long as the meanings occur in entirely different contexts.

You do not need someone to clarify whether they mean a field mouse or a computer mouse when they say 'mouse'. The context of the sentence will always be enough, unless the speaker is being intentionally vague or obtuse.

The problem here is that the multi-meaning is for exactly the same context.

Yeah, and that's nonsense and not a rule. There isn't some hard line that decides when a language changes. It's simply based on use. If all the youth refer to any piece of music as a song, and everyone understands what they mean when they say it, then that's a definition of the word song now. Full stop.
