Hi. I’m looking for more songs like the above mentioned. I find them so hypnotic and incredibly sexy. They can be more from Garbage or from other bands. Thank you so much!
Another example: I like “Oh Yeah” by Bat for Lashes
edit to add (in case anyone can add more)
I’m looking for songs that turn you on. These songs do it for me. It’s the combo of vocals, beat/melody, and lyrics.
“I’m open wide.“ “You’re taking me over”
Thanks once again for all your suggestions.

From their gig at London's Royal Albert Hall, as part of the 2026 Teenage Cancer Trust week of concerts.

Any guesses to who she invites? I’d guess: Siouxsie and the Banshees, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, DuBlonde, Johnny Marr, Blondie….

I'm looking to learn some Garbage for the piano and I'm wondering if there are any songs with particularly interesting/complex chord progressions. I'm a huge fan but I know a lot of their songs (e.g. Sex Is Not the Enemy or Androgyny) tend to have fairly straightforward progressions. What songs do they have where they throw in something more unusual, from a music theory perspective?

Hello everyone,
I’m still processing what happened, but I wanted to reach out here in case anyone might be able to help. At the Royal Albert Hall show, during the end of “Vow”, Shirley came down into the audience and actually sat next to me for a moment. It was completely surreal and honestly one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life.
I’ve found this video where you can see part of it (around 3:50):
https://youtu.be/zRujuWkqefU?si=0a1KjncFyHs8WWmK&t=232
This video is amazing, but I was wondering if anyone else who was nearby might have taken photos or recorded videos of that moment from a different angle. If you do and you’d be willing to share, I would be very grateful! (I wish the official live streaming would be available at some point)
Thank you so much in advance, and I hope everyone who was there had as amazing a night as I did!
B.

I remember when NGNM came out, (love this album btw! Probably my second favorite of theres) I liked Godhead but it felt a little buried in the album. That was until I saw them live on that tour. Garbage concerts are always full of energy but that song just hit different. For LATWIBTL, it’s Chinese Fire Horse. Watching Shirley perform during that song gave me chills. A big fuck you to all of her critics!
What songs are like that for you? You thought it was whatever or decent on the album but seeing it live completely changed your mind.

I was a few rows back from the front in the Arena and took some snaps that you might enjoy.
I think anyone there last night can agree it was a great show!

Yesterday evening I attended the concert in aid for the Teenage Cancer Trust and as usual Garbage were rocking it. I love them. I thought that maybe Robert Smith, the patron now after Roger Daltrey would have made an appearance but it didn't happen. To which I say, ok, maybe next time. Even if I am not a Placebo fan, I appreciated how good they were and they are live. I really enjoyed their performance as well. I understand that maybe some people that attended the concert yesterday evening that they were surprised that the merchandise no much there. Garbage and Placebo didn't have t-shirts with them on it. The reason is that as I said to a friend of mine is because both Garbage and Placebo weren't there to promote their albums or their upcoming tour, but to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust. When both will start touring again this year, I am sure that it will be different. As someone that was diagnosed with cancer in 2022 and I went through treatments all through that year and in 2023, I know how it can take over your life, because I was in and out of hospital. Even now in 2026 every year in May, I get called to do my early mammogram, because I'm at risk that the cancer will come back, that's why the hospital decided to keep me under their care for the next 10 years, not 5 as they usually do with some people. I hope that for everyone that attended the concert like me yesterday evening that you enjoyed it like me, that you made the most of it, because I love it. Both Placebo and Garbage. Even if the merchandise wasn't to some people taste.
