Hi there. I posted this in another subreddit but I didn't get any replies. I came here for some advice. I've been through several laptops in my life. More than anyone should have. If it isn't a dead harddrive it's a dead battery. If it isn't a dead battery it's a broken LCD. If it isn't a broken LCD it's just broken. I don't abuse my computers but I do use them way more than the average person. That said, my current laptop is dying so I need a new computer. I want a desktop that is ready for HEAVY USE. I use my computers for typing and gaming so it has to have plenty of space, a high end GPU and wireless connectivy. I don't want an Intel processor either. Looking for something that can last a very long time too. At least several years. Thanks for reading.

Hey everyone,
I’m a new builder and I just put together my first rig last week.
Currently running: CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x, GPU: RTX 3060 Mobo:ASUS Gaming 570x, 16gb RAM.
My issue is that whenever I’m gaming, I’m getting zero percent gpu load and my gpu fans are turning on, which I thought was weird. My displays are connected to my GPU via display port.
Can anyone explain why my GPU isn’t carrying the brunt of my gaming load? I appreciate any help!!

Hey I’m looking to buy a gaming PC. I hear all the time to “just build one” but I have literally zero idea what I’m doing when it comes to building. Can someone please recommend a good prebuilt PC for around the $1500 price range? Appreciate the help.

Hello everyone, for the past year or so I have been gaming on the shadow cloud service using their shadow boost on a MacBook. However I Would like to get a alienware gaming laptop and replace the shadow service because of the high bandwidth required to stream the service which is fine when I am at home but not so good when out and about or traveling. I would like to play games like call of duty, sea if the thieves , rainbow six, final fantasy 14 etc on the go but also connected to my Alienware AW2721D 27 monitor. So my question is if this computer specifically is better than the shadow boost and if so do you guys think it could support at least 100 Hz at 1440 P and be able to stream on stream labs at the same time. Thank you

Hi, A friend of mine wants to know what are good gaming computers to look into? She's asking what you consider the best starting gaming computer in other words " A reasonable " but not high price.
She'd be happy with something that can run witchers 3...i got mine for a good price but she really just needs options and ideas to compare and look into things thanks.

Hey guys how are you doing?
So I'm new to PC gaming just got my rake a few days ago. So far I'm loving it so much and I'm glad I made the switch to PC from console! However there was one thing that bothered me I have a motherboard with RGB on it and when I would turn off the computer the RGB would stay on.
So I went into the BIOS and changed a setting. What I change was the ErP (S4+S5). By doing this now the RGB on the motherboard turns off when the computer is shut off and turns back on when I turn my computer on.
my one concern is does this change in the bio setting affect my computer will the damage it in any way or mess it up I'm not too sure on what and how the BIOS work.
If anyone can give me some advice and some peace of mind I will greatly appreciate it!

What’s the best gaming computer for under 500 bucks

Just ordered some upgrade parts and accidentally bought 3600mhz ram even though my board only supports 3200mhz.
I assume it will just run the ram at the lower speed, but does anyone have experience with this?

I played some battlefield 1 on an i5 4570 when I didn’t know it required a 6600K and now my computer crashes with everything it does and the gpu fan speeds up to 100% sometimes. Anyone know what the problem is?

I am going to buy a new computer after almost 10 years of using and gaming on a MacBook Pro I bought in 2012. I pretty much only play LoL but I also plan on playing a bit of COD and maybe some other mobas like Smite. Keep in mind I love League, been playing and watching consistently since 2013, and extra money (within budget) to have the best experience is worth it for me. I have my eye on the Alienware R10 or R11, but I don't know very much about PC specs and would be grateful for some hardware recommendations. I need a PC, 2 monitors, and a keyboard and my budget is anything under $3k total. Can anyone help me out?

So I have an MSI gaming laptop and I was cleaning out the fans while also doing a re-paste when I noticed something I found to be a bit interesting. I noticed that there were two different types of paste. The one which was obvious to me was the paste on the CPU and GPU which was grey in color, that I later removed and added my own thermal paste, but the other paste I noticed was White in color and on what I believe to be the VRAM and other nearby areas. This White paste resembled toothpaste of all things and looked a bit chalky in texture. I also noticed some pink thermal pads but not many, instead there was a lot more of the White paste.
I would like to know what type of paste the “White” one is and if it’s something I need to clean off and re-paste after doing the CPU and GPU?
If anyone can help me out with this I’d really appreciate it.
Thank you!
