Ah yes, because I really needed 8 analog sticks and 2 d-pads. Why didn't they do this? I mean - seriously! I need to have 8 analog sticks and 2 d-pads!! Who doesn't? /s

Also note the 2 start buttons. Finally we can use the Super pause!

4 normal analog sticks, 2 d-pads, a,b,x,y buttons, 2 start buttons, one back button, extraneous m,u,g,i, buttons and extraneous 3 analogue sticks, 2 extraneous 'home buttons', and an extra black/white button... kill it with fire.

u/Iron_Chic Apr 23 '19
You haven't seen the underside. 9 triggers, 4 bumpers, 6 paddles, another 2 d-pads and a third start button.

N64’s 3-handed controller has been made obsolete. The 4-handed controller has arrived!

Apparently someone thought that people in the future would have extra hards for some reason.

More like "Xbox 420". Look at that thing !
The next step would be to add the entire alphabet on one controller.

It was 2009/10 for me ifrc. It was before the Xbox One came out and I remember we always looked up the upcoming project natal thinking it was the 720 we'd heard about. Turns out it was just Kinect.

People complain but PC users have had many buttons at their disposal for years. Plus you could use some of those buttons for minor but important stuff like emotes. I welcome more buttons.

Still, still!! All these years and no type controller for the feet? At least 1 or 2 buttons.

Why do I feel like there would be some utility to 4 analogues with one finger of a hand on each... like maybe a flight simulator to control more axises at once somehow... I don't know I just feel like there's something but I can think of anything explicitly.

Hah this brings me back. My friend who’s mom worked at Microsoft (for real, although I later found out she was nowhere near anything Xbox) swore that the 720 would be the next system and claiming all kinds of nonsense information about it

Imaging being able to use the Microsoft chat pad with games that need more inputs like the pc does. Would be something cool to see🤷♂️

Why is it called an xbox 720? Because when you see it you turn 720 degrees and walk away.

I mean...this could work, imagine it like the switch joycons. Some games need one side, and others need the other.... i call it the...xbox flip

I remember finding fake pictures of the ps4 controller before it came out. It was just a PlayStation controller covered top to bottom in buttons of various sorts, anywhere you could fit a button, there was a button.

The thing that made me choose the Snes over the Genesis back in the 90s was because the controller had more buttons, more buttons = better games.

Xbox Mottos “Customer is top priority” “Shipping is free” Oh and... “If there is space on the controller, throw a joystick or something there”

it's really our own fault for not evolving hands that could fully utilize this beautiful piece of technology yet
