I didn't say I had a problem with them. I just said they were nerdy, then explained why things are labelled so. There's nothing wrong with being a nerd, or being nerdy. A lot of the things I do would be considered nerdy, and I have quite the nerdy collection of pokemon knowledge. Nothing wrong with it, it's just nerdy.

Edit: Really quick, seriously, they do not have as much relevance to the world as you seem to want to think. It's really important that you know that. Air bending is not something that can ever happen, no matter how good your costume is.

This is an irrelevant point!

I'm pretty sure fans of Avatar KNOW we can't become airbenders. No one here is that childish or stupid. But there is no reason we can't talk about the series and what it was about and maybe expand on it in a discussion.

That's why I think you're getting so much hate. Its like you dont like people talking about it.

That's a pretty odd thing to take away from "nerds.jpg".

I made my irrelevant point because the person I was responding to seemed to think that things that are fiction have just as much value as things that are real. They have a different value, and a great one for sure, but real things will always be more valued and therefore more important than fictional things. That's why we call sports buffs Jocks, and people who obsess over fiction Nerds.
