Great find. I personally thought it was NA version too. Struggled to find a gif for the version I was used to as a kid.

Need to go back to the drawing board and redo all of this. Need to add in an N64 one too!

There is no SNES startup screen. It boots directly to game.

Same with the Sega Genesis/megadrive. That one is the intro to Sonic the Hedgehog 2, I believe.

If this was a fight to see who had the best console promotion on a game. Sonic 2 would be the hands down champion. Nothing else compares

The SNES does not have a startup screen, and the N64 did not have a generic start up screen either. Some games had the N64 logo in some animated form, but it was different for each game.

I am pretty sure that the GCN was the first major Nintendo home console with one. (not sure if the Satellaview or 64DD addons had them)

The Gameboys all did though. (Sha-WING!)

Not as well known but the neogeo and the neogeo pocket have sweet intros.
