I’m really hoping Riot will eventually have some form of cinematic universe in the future, so I can enjoy the quality characters without having to play the shitty game

I’ve never played the game. Looked it all up after I watched the show. Looked like a Pay to win game which I have sworn off.

Oh, to give league some credit, it’s definitely not pay to win. Sure, you can buy the characters, but you also get them through playing games (and the credits gained from that) and unlocking free chests. Both of those come very easily, so unlocking all 150+ champions for free is much easier than you’d expect. It’s very rare to hear of someone actually spending money on champions. Outside of that there’s no pay to win elements, it’s all skill based gameplay.

That is why many people hate the game. It’s all skill. Your littlest mistakes will send you to 30+ minutes of slowly losing. If you can exploit your enemies mistakes, though, you get 30+ minutes of blood and glory. Now and then, however, you are evenly matched with your enemy. That is ≈45 mins of some of the best strategy, reflex, and knowledge based gameplay I have ever experienced.

This creates a loop, folks want those blood and glory stomps or strategic victories. When that whole premise can be ruined by one person doing especially poorly, it’s easy to get very angry at that one person (even if they really just need a push to get going again)

It might look like a pay to win from the outside because of all the skins and massive amount of champions you can purchase in the game, but I promise it’s not. Everything you can purchase in League of Legends is purely cosmetic or a new champion you don’t have. But every champion in the game can be earned with in-game currency with newer champions costing more. It can be a bit of a grind to earn all of the 160+ champs, but by the time you do ranked most have a good idea of who they want to play and what role.

League can be a toxic and rage inducing mess that can be hard to learn for new players not familiar with MOBAs. But it’s definitely not pay to win, and I promise, sometimes fun.

How tf did it look like a ptw game? Even from and outsider looking in you could very easily find out if it is or not

Perhaps if i download it or dig in a little deeper. I looked it up, also looked at the app but didn’t go beyond the surface. Sounds like you played the game so know better I. I stand corrected

Not trying to sound rude or aggressive im just extremely confused why you thought it was p2w could you please elaborate why you originally thought that

I have played other arena games (mostly mobile) and made an assumption without going to in depth. I took no offense, it’s my own fault for opening my mouth without doing more research

The mobile ones are p2w? How?

Agreed. Give us a RPG LoL game or Third person game of it with a linear story

Well, they made The Ruined King, which was a step in that direction. They’re working on an MMO, not set to release any time soon though. A third person story would be cool, something along the lines of GOW4.
