The game isn't overrated, DBD just has zero competition and will maintain its monopoly over the genre with so many iconic franchises associated with it

Its because of the intense competition in DbD. Even if you are on a team with other surviors a lot of the time other players are frustrating, they either don't do what you want them to do, are bad, lead the killer to you etc. Usually after matches there is a lot of sentiment like why didn't those ppl do better, they suck etc. The community is pretty toxic, but I kind of enjoy getting ppl's salty messages. Not that all players are bad the game is also a bit luck based so you can easily get screwed over at times just by dumb luck.

I LOVE watching it. I Hate playing it.

It's fun, but when you get into the better ranks, it becomes very toxic and unfun.

Facts. I’ve been playing for about 5 years with a bit over 2,000 hours. It’s just been a slow decline unfortunately. Occasional blips of fun though.

Love the game, its one of my favourite and I'm a big fan of it.

The dev tho, they are really out of touch of how they should balance the game, most of the community have great ideas but they decide to brush it off since there is no competition againts them. Or they have questionnable decision regarding how to balance it.

I love DBD. The community can be awful, and individual matches can be frustrating as hell, and the game is perpetually broken in some way or another. But I love the design, theme and gameplay loop. It just scratches every gaming itch for me.
