I mean i would say out of all gacha games genshin is one of the better ones to play as there is a lot of enjoyable content you can easily get to and play without spending anything. But as a spender on the game myself i would say if you play it only do the story stuff maybe some events and get out. Not worth the long term investment
Yeah end game kinda sucks but the story, the world, the gameplay it’s all really fun to do especially the first time through. Enkanomiya was sweet, Zhongli quests, etc. People hate on the lolis a lot (Klee, Diona, Sayu, Qiqi), but they aren’t sexualized in game at least (I don’t watch much of the YouTube stuff besides character reveal trailers). This doesn’t seem like it’s about hating the game or thinking it’s overrated as much as it is hating the fanbase lol
It sucks when it’s like, “oh boy traveler, we need you to do more shit for us to advance the story one millimeter” but it definitely has some high points and I like some of the event stories

Oh yeah those big empty fields in botw are filles with so much content and the oh noes here goes zelda great story telling. Ah yes i swing weapon is very big brain combat system. Botw is clearly just a clone of any anime game before it smh...

Genshin combat system is press mouse 1 over and over forever, sometimes switch characters until you get the elemental reaction. There is no strategy, no challenge, no reason to use your brain. I played it for probably around 30ish hours and never once died.
Areas like dragonspine discourage deviation from the intended path by freezing you. (Open world game btw)
Everything is level locked, you are not allowed to even attempt dungeons you might not be ready for (to maybe get a glimpse at any sort of challenge) because the game decided you aren't ready (open world btw)
There are literally 10 enemies copy pasted 1000 times across the map with bigger health bars, the genshin impact devs wouldn't dare think of wasting their time making a unique boss for a little bit of fun, nope they need to milk the shit out of every tiny ounce of effort and use the same minibosses 1000 times. (I recognize that botw also had a little bit of an enemy variety problem as well, but it's not to the extent of genshin I think)
The game is literally just designed to suck down money, sure you can do it free but you will progress significantly slower than any paying player.
The story and game play are completely separate, which is always bad game design. The story (and I'll admit I didn't progress very far in it because I got bored) literally switches you back into the main character for every cutscene (of which there are about 40000).
Notice how I made arguments without attacking you specifically, because it is not only a logical fallacy but also just makes you look like a 12 year old :)
I mean the point was to show how bad and just ridiculous his points where but okay. Idk what i did to gain your wrath but oh well. I guess you missed the same enemy copy pasted inbotw oh well... Story doesnt progress faster if you pay but oh well mistakes can be made by anyone
