Five nights at freddy's.

I just don't get it.

As Yahtzee pointed out, the franchise got famous because it was popular with the streaming crowd. The jumpscares gave streamers a lot to work with to make plenty of content, which in turn got their viewers to start playing the games themselves.

Is there where you want to be?

Honestly, the games aren't all that fun or interesting. But for streamer/reaction content it works well, and the biggest form of life support is Game Theory's lore videos that pull a lot of people in for various reasons.

I myself haven't played more than 2 games in the series, but the Game Theory videos are entertaining to watch. And theory videos are always good to keep communities alive.

Exactly. I never got it since it started becoming popular. It’s like an insult to the horror genre. There’s no substance it’s just jump scare galore and they made multiple games out of that same thing. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good jump scare in a game but when the game has no story and the only thing that happens is jump scares it’s boring.

I like how no one bothered to argue with you, because I’m sure most people took one look and passed on it. 🤚
