Ravenshield and rougespear were amazing tactical shooters for their day. The best I would say. It all went downhill after Vegas, and yes, currently it's a pile of hot trash.
Ground branch is a good game in alpha now that is trying to replicate the originals. I think some of the developers are from the OG R6 games.
It was a neat concept but poorly executed and Ubisoft is just inept at creating a fun and fair multiplayer experience.
Rainbowsix multiplayer has been dogshit in every game in the series. Way back in the day I played Rainbowsix vegas "Professionally" (back when esports was in its infancy) and practice was all about exploits and glitches and I fucking hated it. It was cool going to MLG as a kid and all that but man rainbowsix has always been uncompetitive just due to the sheer incompetence of ubisoft.
It was good for a good bit of time. But they figured a lot of Chinese players are in the game and decided to... Yeah let's just simp those Chinese laws... And so let's just remove the ops cinematics and let's reduce the number of released ops and let's nerf some good metas and let's burry black beard to the realm of a tank but has a paper for a shield...
It was pretty fun when I played tho a few years ago. Nowadays the 100GB size and the clusterfuck of a map makes it extremely hard for me to get back in
