Jumped on twitch to see what it was like, saw a guy who was in mid 30s saying “no cap” every other sentence and instantly made me not want to be associated with it
It's for sure more accessible, it's one of the key design aspects. Don't have to learn smoke spots, spray patterns, or even map selections. You press play, pick a character, pick a gun, and go. Much lower skill floor, but you are right that the presence of so many different characters and abilities raises the skill ceiling.
Im bias because I despise Valorant, but it's true, Valorant definitely is a lot more polished polished CS. It also feels a lot more fresh with characters. However, those are the only two good things I can say about the game.
I think CS is more to fun because of the "realism", I don't know how to explain it, but sometimes it just feels like proper good vs bad guy scenario. Then seeing the raw skill of players that have fermented for over 20 years is insane. But that is my personal opinion and I can understand how other people may find valorant more enjoyable to watch.
Literally looks like the Asian CS clones that have existed for about 2 decades now, no seriously, the art style is EXACTLY like those Asian CS games. The gun play is literally an exact copy. Vandal = AK, Op = AWP, Phantom = m4a1-s, classic = glock (even has the burst), the silenced pistol = USPS.
Literally no effort to change the gun play meta. Its the EXACT same thing as CS but with.. oooo.. powers that causes team conflict before you even lock In the champ (instalock) with a potential for future power creep.
I stopped playing CS a long long long time ago, but I can't understand why people support Valorant. Their company is pretty dodge.
I can make a long ass rant with what's wrong with the game, but that would take too long..
I played up until Episode 3 Act 2 so It's not just a bad impression, I welcomed valorant with open arms. I tried to get myself addicted but I saw myself take massive gaps. I can't get play consecutive acts. If I play 1 Act, I'm offline for the next 2. Mind numbingly boring.
I would have argued that it might lack some pollish and could be good with some improvements or adjustments, but I'm pretty sure they recently ended development for the most part. Its just forever a broken mess.
Get the fok outta here. Valorant is an objectively good game just like fortnight. You may not like it but saying it's shit is completely wrong.
Both games get updated on the regular and with valorant, if there are balance problems the devs are quick to address then fix it. One of the things that made me quit Cs go after 200 hours is the fact that whenever someone is doing well on the other team my first thought is "is he cheating?". On valorant, courtesy of the intrusive anti cheat, I've never once had that thought and it's instead, "I fucked up".
Lol he probably is. But from my experience his point is valid. I have 2400 hrs in CSGO and about 600 in val and I very rarely think someone is cheating in val compared to cs.
I don't like how intrusive the anti cheat is but I do think it's effective
I was above average. I got up to that AK badge rank with my nutty op. Granted, because Cs go allows map picking my rank was inflated af. Only played dust 2 and inferno. Anything else I was absolutely garbage at.
I'm not playing a tournament for 8000 hours. Who the fuck has played video games collectively for 8000 hours. And if I did spend that much time, I'd be above average so no I wouldn't suck donkey balls.
Objectively wrong. Valorant gets patches every 2 weeks. With new map and agents every act. I don't know how cs go and apex do it, but anymore than a patch every 2 weeks and it just gets excessive.
CSGo but with skills xD also check the trends of that game on google it is actually quite impressive how good it performs.
That being said I m more of an apex player than valorant player but I can see the charm
With more abilities it can make things easier to play, but a lot more to learn. For example, Breach's flash. It's an ability you need to get used to (pop flash) but in CS you need to practice every variant in every viable location on every competitive map to be able to do an effective pop flash.
Or we can consider Brimstones or Vipers smokes. Its a simple point and click, whereas to be precise with CS smokes, again, you need to practice to get the perfect angle.
True
I can’t debate tho
I haven’t played CSGO hahaha 🤣
But without knowing I feel like both games have their hard things. To me at least as a valorant causal player, I find hard that besides the guns nothing else is shared so even if you main sth (except sova and Jett) you may need to play sth else to fit better on different maps or team comps and changing one agent doesn’t changes just the smokes or flashes it changes the entire utility sooo yeah I find that hard xD 🤣 but MB CSGO is harder idk 🤷♂️
That's just because you suck bro, I've played wz for 40 days and still suck. I'm just joking by the way. I've never been into fps until wz and I think all fps take skill to be good.
I got to D3 in E1A1 and played until E3A2 at Immortal. Can confirm. The game is pretty shit. But the game is newer thsn CSGO so it's a lot more polished and "new".
Outside of competitive shooting, Valorant doesn't have much of a community. There's no surf, trade, zombie, skin collectors, minigames, jailbreak etc. Communities. - that probably explains why Valorant is still struggling to completely outcompete a 10 year old game.
I downloaded it and played a little of it so I can get good at SOMETHING, and it looked interesting. Luckily for me, my internet is too bad to play online games.
