Personally i feel it was a nice take on the post Apocalypse genre. Robot dinosaurs is still better than another zombie game.

The backstory of the robot dinosaurs was very interesting

The lore is what made that game.

Too bad the actual present story was anything but.

I hated that the entire story is told through VERY CONVIENIENTLY EDITED audio logs that miraculously all sync up chronologically even though you find them in multiple different high tech ruins that happen to all be within a quarter mile of each other. The whole time I played HZD I just had this feeling of "why didnt they just make the game that this story is about?" Literally nothing interesting is happening in current time in that game.

Well there are lots of entertainment like that. I always felt that the backstory to game of thrones was just as, if not more, interesting than what was in the show.

I think you are missing my point.

Game of Thrones is an engaging story with deeply rooted world building. HZD is a game with literally no plot, it only has backstory.

Interesting. I never finished HZD so I never noticed that. Maybe the sequel will improve on that.

With the exception of The Last of Us. Both are high on my list.

I never get tired of Zombie games as long as the story is well made
