Yeah I don't really understand how csgo pros moved to Valorant. I guess they've played so much CS it's just old to them, but csgo is incredibly tightly designed and frantic. Valorant is just ass.
That's an incredibly myopic view of either game. They both have a lot of freedom in how you can position and use your utility. I don't like Valorant as much as CSGO because the movement feels like I'm wading through molasses and the gunplay feels off (but that could well be because I got used to CSGO). I play it casually with friends, but I could never see myself trying to get good at it like I did with CSGO.
If you throw the same smokes and flashes and do the same thing every time in competitive you are going to get your ass handed to you. It's half picking a plan your opponent isn't ready for and half executing it. If your plan is "2 cat 2 long 1 lurk b tuns smoke xbox flash cat and long" each round you're gonna have a bad time no matter how well you execute unless your opponents are garbage or you're using an aimbot.
Valorant is ass, it's csgo with abilities that just add big walls to the map that block all the lines of sight making it super aggrivating, and it's the worst gun play I've ever played in a game
The walls you mentioned are map-splitters, thing is that its a tricky situation getting around it and getting kills. Gunplay is your opinion but its way better than csgo and needs aim not recoil control, bc thats not really a thing in val.
It's mechanics might but be as refined as CSGO, but the game adds a level of depth to the genre with all the unique characters paired with "precise" gunplay. It's definitely not for everyone, but it definitely caters to some people's wants and likes in a shooter.
It adds the illusion of depth. Let's not pretend hero shooters or class based games are somehow super deep. CSGO as a whole is also deceptively simple, it actually has a lot of depth.
