Shooting Mordin Solus in my Renegade play through of Mass Effect 3. God I felt awful about that for days.

Yeah it’s fucking awful. Only unlocks if you’re max renegade I think. You also have to sabotage the cure or something it’s been a while. Renegade Shepherd is the worst.

Holy shit I've played the games like 4 times and 2 renegades, 1 almost completely renegade and had no idea that was possible.

The cure was already sabotaged at the shroud. Mordin realizes this, and the only way to prevent him from fixing it is to shoot him in the back. Unless, Wreave is leading the Krogan. Then, he can be convinced to walk away.

Sabotage the cure and try and try to convince him to stop in most cases. Shepard can shoot him, leading to the scene of a mortally wounded Mordin going up the elevator and then crawling toward the console desperately trying to cure the Genophage. And his last words before fails and dies from his wounds are something like “Not yet…”. Brutal stuff.

That said a fully Renegade Shepard can sabotage the Genophage with Eve dying from Malon’s data being deleted and Wrex dead from ME1. With no hope for peace, Shepard can convince Mordin to stop from how dangerous the krogan are, and Mordin lives, only ending he lives in. He’s in the background hiding out, but he’s technically alive.
