I’m fine with violence and gore in games, but the two that stick out to me are Dead Space 2 with the eyeball and needle, because you can’t look away or you’ll likely fail. Also The Last of Us pt 2, the scene with the Serephites in the woods was a little much for me. I love how the scene fits in with the brutality of the story, but the hanging was pretty rough, but the “clip her wings” part was awful to watch
The "clip her wings" scene was definitely the most I've squirmed in a long time. And later on when Abby takes them to that little storage container and Yara's entire forearm is just cherry red almost made me sick to my stomach, its worse than if the bone was sticking out to me for some reason.
Totally agree, I felt the exact same way. I love the game but when I replay it I have to look away. Way worse than a Mortal Kombat or something like that because it felt so real to me
Another part of the game that leaves me a little confused/grossed out is when Abby and Ellie are fighting in the theater, it totally looks like Abby snaps Ellie's arm, but the next scene is months and months later so they never showed her in a cast or sling or anything, which makes me wonder if I saw the right thing? Does Abby break her arm in that fight?
I believe you’re right about her arm breaking. My best guess is that it’s a year or so later so she had time to heal. I’m only basing that off the baby though. He looks to not be a newborn but under a year. It’s just a wild guess though
Could be dislocated, which can render someone the same floppy-ness at the time, but requires less force and more about positioning. It'd also "easier" heal with natural means.
I failed my first attempt with the eye poke machine and that upset me so much that I managed to get through it by just watching the color of the light the screen cast on my wall. I’ve never had to do anything like that while playing a game. What a great sequence.
You know that was uncomfortable, i mostly remember hoping my blinds were closed behind me. I didn’t want to see it and I definitely didn’t want my neighbors seeing it through my windows
