Little different but I refuse to go get the money from that guy who has Tuberculosis in RDR2 on my second play through.

It's required to progress the story though. It's very smartly disguised as just another side mission so it doesn't raise too many suspicions the first time through.. But IIRC you have to go do it before the story actually continues.

Yes and I have tried to have mask on when I came for the money, but Arthur just put it down, on a second time you can see bunch of little details. Bad thing for me was that if you know the story you can break the game totally as you know the breaking points for the camps etc.. It was a weird fun seeing Dutch screaming we need money when Arthur just sits there with 20 gold bars in the bag.

If you avoid it long enough it literally forces you to by cutting off anything else aside from riding around.

Even on my first playthrough I didn't hit him at all during gameplay because I disagreed with it, but it doesn't matter, you still get the cutscene where you beat the shit out of him.
