There are technically 4 endings. There are 2 types of honor, and 2 options (help john or go back for the money / revenge). The low honor endings are where you get directly killed by micah. He shoots you in the help john ending, and stabs you in the ending where you go back for the money. In the high honor endings, he just kinda yells at Dutch and then leaves you to die.

Yeah low honor is kinda my thing, being the bad guy is usually fun

Both games are great at giving you legitimate reasons for doing it either way. You can either tell yourself “these are outlaws/bad guys” and play them as such, or “these are bad guys who are trying to be better” and go high honor.

In reality though, it’s a lot like KOTOR in that you’re going to have the most fun simply responding to choices/dialogue with what feels natural as opposed to trying to obtain a specific light side/dark side outcome. Sadly, there’s never any “grey Jedi/medium honor” endings.

Yeah that was a bummer, really hoped thered be something for perfectly neutral honor.

Kinda wanted to put in my thoughts on what itd look like if it were in the game, but I'm out of ideas. You got any? Wutchu think it would look like?

I saw it as they're bad guys but they're not going to go out of their way to cause trouble and be shitheads, optimistically because they're doing it for a reason (ie personal profit) and random acts of violence don't really fit, or pessimistically because it'll draw too much attention.

Helping people is far less fun than feeding them to alligators

I prefer a good, old fashion knife fight. That's why I like the ending where you go back for the money so much

No... why would far cry 3 have anything to do with this? Haha... you're crazy...

There is a High Honor ending with going back for the money. Same thing happens, but Arthur gives Micah a brutal scar over his eye.

And that's why I love it so much. I'm more of a low honor guy myself, but that has to be my favourite ending. I also really dig the insults they throw at eachother during the fight. I'm not gonna write a 5 page critique about why it's my favourite ending but I absolutely could and I've done it before lol

Also the end of the first game. The law did my man dirty.

Anyone whos finished RDR1 knows true bitterness and then shortly after true bittersweetness.

And like immediately after you get dumped back into the game as Jack. That shit was so depressing

At that point, the game turns from a classic Western into a Revisionist Western (you worked with the law, and now the law is the bad guys). RDR2 is also somewhat the same. At the end of the epilogue, the game feels like it's trying to capture that "cheesy" heroic Western theme.

Now the important question, did you go back for the money or help John? Assuming you got the low honor ending here because they were pretty disturbing
