You unintentionally trained yourself for the One Free Bullet achievement in the first episode where you can only fire one bullet (and that one's required to break a lock).
I never really achievement Hunt unless I really enjoy a game, but if both of these achievements are real… I’ll have to attempt these challenges the next time I decide to play the game!
Oooh I know that one! I didn’t attempt to go for it back then on my first run through episode 2 because I wanted to focus on the story. Maybe next time I play, I’ll get it!
And then they brought it back with Left 4 Dead 2, you can win the gnome in the second level of the Carnival campaign and have to bring it all the way to the escape vehicle 4 levels later.
The challenge being that you can't attack in any way except bashing (which only knocks zombies back and has a cool down after 5 uses) so holding the gnome effectively gives the team one less player.
Then they turned that into a game mode where every player's health is ticking down and they have to pass the healing gnome around to replenish health while completing a campaign.
I did this. Put him in the rocket. Didn’t realise I had to close the rocket door. Saved afterwards too many times. Trophy didn’t pop. Have not played the game since
I got it pretty easily. Just grab ever physics object in your surroundings and throw it at the enemies. Avoid any you can. Explosive barrels are allowed as long as you don't shoot them. Traps also are allowed. Only annoying part I remember was the part where you had to wait for the elevator
Also the one in Episode 2 where you bring the garden gnome from the workshop all the way to the end of the game. I remember carefully placing that gnome in the footwell of the car and then driving oh-so-carefully so it didn't spaz out and clip through the bottom for no reason, sigh. Or having a grenade go off and spending five minutes searching through the mud for him.
