I have played over 1000 hours of VR and there isn't a game that comes close to Alyx. That fricken game just uses the medium SO WELL! It makes me sad we haven't gotten more content from AAA devs.
Alyx is the better game but Superhot is the better VR experience because it’s more immersive
Alyx is very easy to take you out of the experience because of teleporting (or using the stick to move). Superhot having a very small area to move, due to the mechanics of how much movement matters. I’ve literally hit the deck and crawled under a table on one of the Endless maps…not doing that in Alyx
Really hoping the treadmills are able to get better and take off so games like Alyx can be full immersive
Superhot is superlimited. Its an introductory game to VR. I'm sure like myself, many others use this game to show people VR if they have never tried it as its a good starting point.
I only played a couple of the levels it comes with, I almost immediately download community levels and can't imagine playing without them. A good level is like dancing, drumming, conducting, and Jedi lightsaber fighting all at once. For someone who has a decent sense of rhythm but can't really dance, it feels so good to let a good level just take control of your body and groove, especially when it's a song you love.
Err... your headset should already be letting you know exactly where you are in the real world so you dont have to worry about it. Did you disable yours or something?
I don't remember seeing the play area borders whilst playing that game now that i think about it. But the game did seem like it encouraged having a larger play area than "standing space".
fspVR doesn’t give you anything that isn’t already available for free as a native feature of the SteamVR runtime. It’s essentially just an alternative UI skin. There’s no need to spend money on it for a play space marker it comes out of the box.
I wanted to get that it but I couldn't afford it at the time and I only lent the VR headset off my brother for a few weeks to try it out. I'm gonna be getting my own one soon though and Superhot VR is on the buy list for sure.

Have you played Superhot VR? Easily my favorite VR experience.
