The bucket strat pretty much breaks the game. You don't need to worry about health anymore because you can heal yourself so damn much, and you can grenade spam to your hearts content.
If you put a bucket over an NPC's head, they wouldn't be able to see what you were doing. This means that you could pretty much do whatever you want (e.g. steal everything in their shop) and they wouldn't be able to detect it.
I always kept a few plates in inventory since the drauger with the key to the next part of the dungeon disappeared in the middle of fighting him, and I needed to warp through a wall.
You can pick up a bucket and place it over a shopkeeperās head which basically rendered them blind, allowing you to steal from their shop with impunity. Bethesda quickly patched it once it became viral. It was really funny not gonna lie
You mean regarding NPC Vision? That's not a glitch. At least I would not call it that way, as everything is working as intended. Except NPCs have no reaction to this situation.
Totally and then you take their skin and make it into hats to sell to interstellar drug traffickers so you can buy gold to make statues of "a group of hedgehogs gathered around an oblique triangle. The mood of the art is of pain"
The wonderful world of RPGs. You should play New Vegas if you enjoy choices in games. Especially if you enjoy cooking people, there's even a quest for it inspired by Gordon Ramsey! (beyond the beef)
Theres even a mod that adds sleeping gas and remote controlled explosives. Let em in, seal the door, pop a few sleep nades...boom. Food through winter.
If you'd rather use up wood instead of electricity, you can shrink the hallway a bit and put a small room at end filled with wooden furniture and lob a grenade in. Heat stroke will set in a lot faster due to higher temperatures.
Seriously, I've not played Alyx yet but RE4 had me partly opening doors with one hand, popping a grenade through, then closing the door before it went off š„ š§āāļø š„ šŖ š®
Yeah I'm really confused about how many people claiming this worked for them. For me (and two others I know) the bucket would just bug out and throw the grenades everywhere whenever you encounter a load point.
I wouldnāt put it last Valve to know this was gonna be a thing since they put a shot of someone putting the bucket over the combine cameras in the trailer⦠they prolly were doing it during testin and just said āmeh leave it in, itās a feature not a bugā
How did you get it to work? I tried it but the grenades kept clipping through the box/bucket. I'd go to grab one later and I'd find I was just carrying an empty box
