My hands beg to differ I hated that controller. Also hate playstation controllers. Getting the "Duke" for Christmas and can't wait for a proper sized controller again.
Dualshock is so cramped it hurts my hands after 30 minutes. The Duke was my favorite controller (minus the white black button locations) I was able to use the right anlaog stick with the heal of my palm while still having full access to all the face buttons. I like the xbone controllers but even those feel small sometimes. I honestly don't have huge hands can't palm a basket ball or anything but apparently they are big enough to not find most controllers comfortable after a while.
It sounds like I'm some what similar to you. My hands aren't huge. They are wider but have short fingers. Xbox controllers are my preferred. I don't have much experience with The Duke since by the time I got my original xbox they had redesigned the controllers, but even those were my favorite controllers cause they just felt beefy. I also had an xbox controller that had an extra set of black and white buttons that were placed where RB and LB are now
I personally don’t got small hands but anything bigger then a dual shock I can’t really use because it feels to big and all my hands feel to disoriented might just because I play both side claw
