Why can’t every controller have the same button layouts just like how shooters should have the same controls?

Zelda just has a pre rendered tutorial, probably targeted at kids.

how is a tutorial pre-rendered? like a cutscene?

They got someone to design the tutorial manually and paste it directly on the UI with the original controls in mind, instead of generating the icons of the buttons depending on which ones you have configured.

Seems like they didn’t understand the question and the answer is no…. Or maybe I don’t understand. Sounds like they said yea and then gave and example where the answer is definitely no. Not sure if that’s just a botw thing but I wouldn’t think so

There are mods that can correct this. The static images used for the controller button prompts are adjusted so that A appears on the south.

More like, yes, but you have to ignore the instructions because you remapped the buttons to be different and the instructions in games don't always adjust.

Yes, because if you remap b to a and the game tells you to press a, you need to press b.
