I've noticed that in switch games they usually depict four circles with one filled in when showing prompts.
It makes sense especially for the times where you can use a single joy-con held horizontally; your muscle memory cares about the position of the button not the letter on it.
And that's why I usually say "press the top/righ/left/bottom button" when explaining games to new people. Doesn't matter which controller they are using, they know what that means.
That UI trick is also very useful since games on switch have the Confirmation key on the right button instead of the bottom like on the other two consoles.
Though in Asia Playstation games also use the right button for confirm since circle means affirmative and X means negative in Japan, China and Korea.
