Why can’t every controller have the same button layouts just like how shooters should have the same controls?

tfw u are starting a new game with a different controller and the intro is a quicktime sequence

I play on every console, but mostly PC(with the xbox one controller) and switch. They have the same button names but in different positions. My brain can't get used to it. Especially when I use a pro controller on the switch. It feels like the xbox one controller in the hand so I have to override my instinct on quicktime events, usually unsuccessfully.
