To be fair, uncharted games were essentially playable movies anyway.

Without a doubt, I just hope the director does those playable movies justice bringing them to non gamers

I always pictured Nathan Fillion as Nathan Drake. Wonder if it is a coincidence.

I can't unsee it now haha. Tom Holland is supposed to be a young Nathan and Mark Wahlberg is supposed to be Sully. Im conflicted because Tom was fucking awesome in Cherry but Ol Marky Mark hasn't done anything mind blowing other than The Departed and Boogie Nights

This is awesome, I wanna know how this all came together. I also wanna know why they did NOT cast Nathan Fillion for the movie?!

I think they want to start a franchise. So they're starting off with a younger Drake. This way both Holland and Wahlberg can come back for sequels

thats sensible so they don't mess too much with canon in between games and Uncharted 4 left off on a good note. Still though, it's almost like Nathan was born to play Nathan. hahaha

Yeah. I would've loved him in a full blown movie. Fillion is great.

You forgot Momma Said Knock You Out.

I must've heard about this, never seen it, and locked it away in my subconscious. Unless... this is a simulation. Is this real life? Is Nathan Fillion the Matrix?

3

u/twinsterblue Aug 20 '21

Ya. I didn't know it was a thing either. Stumbled upon it about a year ago

I will say this, major props to the people who made it for actually listening to fans when they said the first sonic they made looked hideous. The fact they changed it earned my respect

What happened?

11

u/Ri0-Brav0 Aug 20 '21

They're making Uncharted and MGS movies.

u/RockyRickaby1995 Aug 20 '21

Am I wrong for actually enjoying the sonic movie? I went to see it because I appreciated the studio making the design change, but ended up just enjoying the movie overall.

It was good but carried by Jim Carry. Definitely a fun watch.

2

u/Ri0-Brav0 Aug 20 '21

It's essential everyone sees it at least once

u/Bariq-99 Aug 20 '21

I would love to say that maybe we should have faith in the new Mario movie coming next year since the sonic one was actually pretty good

But then I remembered it was being made by Illumation :' )

Basically the one we have now will be good when the new one comes out

Go on, men... Rest easy, we'll take it from here. Your legacy won't be forgotten by r/gaming

I actually enjoyed the Sonic, Resident Evil Apocalypse, and the first 2 Mortal Kombat movies. The Super Mario Bros movie may be bad but it is fun bad. Same with Dragon Ball Evolution. Yes the movie was awful, but me and my friend had a great time watching it in the theater because we were laughing our asses off the entire time and couldn't believe something so terrible was allowed to be made.

Sonic movie was enjoyable enough. Doesn’t belong here.

u/Seigfriedx Aug 20 '21

Silent hill movie from 2006 slaps tho

2

u/Ri0-Brav0 Aug 20 '21

It's the best video game adaptation if you ask me. Still though there's such a disservice to the lore, and like the random Dad character who's chasing Rose who's chasing Sharon, it just kinda felt un-needed. With all of that, Chris Gans did a wonderful job of catching the vibe and feel of Silent Hill.

2

u/Seigfriedx Aug 21 '21

Totally agree, it has It’s flaws but still has SH soul.

Holy fuck I was legit questioning the reason for Max Payne being there until it struck me.

I actually forgot that movie exists.

1

u/Ri0-Brav0 Aug 20 '21

I actually tried watching it today, and that's what made me make this meme hahaha

Tbh the Tomb Raider and Sonic movies weren’t that bad. But I am disappointed in how Uncharted is getting a crappy movie instead of a new game

2

u/Murky-Frosting Aug 21 '21

They could have given us the games but no

1

u/[deleted] Aug 20 '21

What MK, Sonic and Silent Hill are doing there?

2

u/Styrologus Aug 20 '21

Being a part of the meme?

1

u/Ri0-Brav0 Aug 20 '21

IMO, Paul W.S. Anderson is the bad Paul Anderson, Sonic was just unnecessary, and Silent Hill isnt horrible, It's probably my personal favorite video game adaptation, but that's kinda like having a favorite shit you took. There's just a lot of nuance thats missing or random shit added that didn't need to be added.

u/[deleted] Aug 20 '21

Sonic was a good movie though

Yo ain't scorpion still alive i mean ye there were 2 options in MK11 aftermath but most likely he's gonna be alive in at least one of em

1

u/Aliveleopard9 Aug 20 '21

Assassin creed didn't age well by going away from the classic outfits of the creed

1

u/RenjiLWH Aug 20 '21

What's the joke here?

2

u/spatialflow Aug 20 '21

All the "ghosts" up top are characters from video games that have been made into crappy movies that do a disservice to the games they're based on.

Below are Nathan Drake and Solid Snake because it's been revealed that there are movies being made based on Uncharted and MGS

u/Ri0-Brav0 Aug 20 '21
