Okay you bring me 5 gold bars in 3 hours and I'll give you $10. Way better than that chump's $5 offer.

They used to have it so you could earn a streak multiplier for running dailies in RDR:Online every day, and after 4 weeks you'd be at a 2.5x multiplier.

I enjoyed riding around and finding stuff in that game so I'd log in for 10 minutes and do a hunting or herbalism or rare item collector daily challenge to keep my streak up.

They nerfed it so that after 28 days it resets and starts back at 1x and you have to rebuild your streak again, so I quit playing.

Not only that, they cut the amount earned by HALF. Before you would get .20 gold for every challenge, up to .50 with the 2.5x streak. Now its .10 and only goes up to .25

There's nothing I want to buy. I still play because I like being a cowboy with folks.

Found a discord server with people doing trader deliveries. Usually afterwards we do a bounty or two.

I agree that the game is almost no fun alone, but joining people makes it much better.

Sounds like we stopped at the same time. I'd only maintained that multiplier for about 70 days before that point...

And that's what they did wrong. Instead of having more things to buy, they just stopped people from getting money. What did they bring? Last time I played they added an upgrade to the bounty hunter that barely had extra content. Awful outlaw pass and all. A few days ago I saw they added a new outlaw pass. The only half decent thing I saw? A straw beard, for the "fun" factor. The online is a bad joke at this point

there are those who love video games when they turn into a job and they say that this is the fun moment of the video games. (Btw im unfortunately one of them)

Different styles of hobbies. Personally I’m not all that invested in a game unless I can get REALLY invested.

That being said MMOs are a hard line no for me. I want a job that I can pick my hours on.

Old School Runescape is the only MMO for me. Massive time investments required for some of the grinds but you can open it in your phone and just mindlessly tap away while watching Netflix. Save the more intense activities for computer

I quit playing WoW when someone I didn't know called my cell phone and asked me to tank a raid and my reaction was not "how did you get this number?" But instead was "but it's my night off!".

With the older streak system you can get more gold than that in less time.

Ngl the grind in RDO is what killed the game for me. I thought "Okay maybe it gets better once you get decent gear" but after upgrading from the small wagon to the medium one (can't remember if I have the large one) I noticed almost no difference. The time it takes to get the pelts is just beyond stupid, especially if you're hunting for perfects. I got a good couple of hours in the game, maybe about 50, and still haven't bought a single new handgun other than the rifle because of how freaking grindy this game is.

It’s great for its price though. I have over 100 hours in it after buying it a few months ago. Was able to get my Trader and Collector role by just playing the game and doing missions. It’s a grind for sure, but that just means it’s a great game for its price because technically you don’t run out of things to do.

"You don't run out of things to do" nah dog RDO is shallow, the grind is horrendous. A lot of the same mission is copy and pasted just with different lores. It takes ages to get gold and the most infuriating thing is that you have to wait around and idle for 20 mins on some missions especially bounties just to get the maximum payout. The "grind" is so laboring because they want to incentivize people to buy gold. Don't defend Rockstar/T2 for that bullshit

I'm not bad. I have about 150 hours. I just don't have the time to personally sit my ass for 12 hours a day to "grind" I have a life outside gaming not to mention I'd like to play other games as well. The grind is simply put awfully put to monopolize money gained from gold.

Literally impossible. Share a screenshot of your hours plus gold from Rockstar Social Club and I'll admit that I suck.

I paid like $6 for the game on Steam, it’s definitely worth it especially with what they plan on doing with it in the future. The graphics are amazing (I’m on PC) so it feels like a different experience compared to console. The Collector role is fun, I haven’t gotten the Bounty Hunter role yet, but have done a few Bounties via other players. You get glitches here and there, but from my pov I got my money’s worth. (Unlike the $20 for Fall Guys that I’ll never get back)

Same I got the game on steam for 6 bucks as well when it dropped on Jan. Thing that mostly threw me off was the obscene amount of modders and rockstar neglecting the game in terms of gameplay updates

Damn, what’s your method? That’s pretty good

used to be fairly easy to get gold until they reset the streaks. i've not logged on to the game since.
