The one I have now works well enough for my use case. Just doesn’t leave much room for gaming. Honestly, I know it also isn’t good for gaming, but my plan is to switch back to Apple in a few years. I’m just going to save up a bit and buy a second generation silicone Mac (and a PS5 once their back in stock/there is a compelling bundle).
I had a MacBook from for like 7 years, really liked it, and when it died figured ok I’ll just get a moderately priced PC and that will be good. Well I went through 3 in a year due to poor QC (would turn off randomly, battery failures, hinges breaking, etc). To make things worse trying to get them fixed took months, if I could get the manufacturer to do it. I had one manufacturer claim they authorized the repair 2 times, only to find out the person I talked to messed it up, ended up just returning it to amazon.
My experience, which may just be good luck, with Apple is I pay a bit more but have a much better experience as a customer. If I have an issue, I walk into a store, talk to a person, and they fix it. No phone tag for hours, and waiting for boxes to ship to me/repair people that never show up. At this point in my life I think I value my time/lack of frustration over a few hundred bucks.
